A repeatable, six-step process to a ranking website.
We've refined this process across every client build. It's the same six steps every time — kickoff to ranking in 30–60 days.
Kickoff & Strategy
A discovery call or a written questionnaire — your choice. Either way we map your business, services, target customers, and the searches they actually use, and come out with a sitemap, a keyword plan, and a writing brief.
Design & Wireframes
We design every page in clean wireframes first, then layer on a custom visual direction unique to your business. No template kits. Real design choices made by humans.
Custom-Coded Build
PHP, CSS, JavaScript — written by hand. Every page is a custom template. Speed and accessibility baked in. Editable via the WordPress Customizer so your team can update content without touching code.
SEO & Schema Implementation
Title tags, meta descriptions, schema.org structured data, canonical tags, sitemap, robots.txt, internal linking — all configured before launch. Google indexes the site already optimized.
Content & Launch
Every page gets optimized copy — written for humans, structured for search. Final QA across browsers and devices. DNS cutover. Site goes live ranking-ready.
Ranking & Maintenance
Three months of active ranking work included: content additions, technical optimization, link-building outreach, and ongoing tuning. After 3 months, $500/mo keeps the engine running.
What happens, and when
A typical build, week by week. Projects move faster when feedback comes back quickly — the schedule below assumes a two-day turnaround on approvals.
Strategy & architecture
Kickoff call, keyword research, competitor teardown, sitemap and URL structure approved.
Wireframes & direction
Page-level wireframes for every template, plus visual direction. This is your cheapest chance to redirect.
Design & build
Custom design applied, theme hand-coded, content written and placed, schema implemented.
QA & review
Cross-browser and device testing, speed tuning, accessibility pass, your final walkthrough.
Launch
DNS cutover in a low-traffic window, Search Console submission, indexing requested, training recorded.
Ranking work
Three months of content additions, technical tuning, and optimization driven by real Search Console data.
What we need
- Your logo and any brand assets you have
- Access to your domain registrar and current host
- A short discovery call, or the written questionnaire if you prefer not to schedule one
- Roughly two hours of review time spread across the project
- Any must-keep content, testimonials, or photography
That is genuinely it. We write the copy, source imagery, and handle the technical work.
What you get
- A hand-coded WordPress site you own outright
- Every page written, optimized, and schema-marked
- Search Console, Analytics, and Business Profile configured
- Three months of post-launch ranking work
- A recorded training walkthrough for your team
- One person who answers the phone
Monthly reporting shows what moved, what did not, and what we are doing next.
It starts with a conversation.
Book a discovery call, or fill in the written questionnaire on your own time — whichever you prefer. Either way you leave with a sitemap and a keyword plan, whether or not you hire us.
No pressure, no retainer to talk. Monthly billing does not begin until day 91.
Questions about working together
The practical things people want to know before starting a project.
Plan for about four to six hours total across the project: a kickoff (a short call or a written questionnaire, your choice), a wireframe review, a design review, and a final pre-launch walkthrough.
Everything else is asynchronous. We send updates, you respond when convenient. The projects that finish fastest are the ones where feedback comes back within a day or two.
We do. Every page in the build is written by us, optimized for the keywords identified during strategy.
If you have existing copy you want kept, we will work it in. If you have subject-matter detail only you know, we capture it on the kickoff call and in a short written brief rather than asking you to draft pages.
Three things: your logo and any brand assets, access to your current site and domain registrar, and a kickoff — either a short discovery call or the written questionnaire if scheduling is a hassle.
That is enough to begin. Photography, testimonials, and service details can arrive during the build without holding anything up.
Yes, and you do not need us for most of them. Every headline, paragraph, image, and section is editable through the WordPress Customizer with no code involved.
We also record a walkthrough of your specific site so your team can make changes confidently. Structural changes are covered under the monthly retainer.
We quote it separately and transparently before starting, rather than absorbing it silently or surprising you with a change order.
Common examples are e-commerce catalogs, membership areas, booking systems, and custom API integrations. If it is a small addition we often simply include it.
No. The new site is built and fully tested on a staging environment, and the DNS cutover is scheduled for a low-traffic window.
Real-world downtime is typically a few minutes at most, and your old site stays available until the moment we switch.
You email or call and we fix it. Bugs in work we built are covered indefinitely, not for a limited warranty window.
Ongoing maintenance — WordPress core updates, security patches, plugin updates, and monitoring — is part of the monthly retainer.
We use AI as a tool in research and drafting, the same way we use any other tool, but every site is architected, coded, and reviewed by a human.
Content is edited and fact-checked before it ships. We are not generating pages unattended and calling it a website.
